The multi-account feature has been extended further and now includes transfers between accounts. To provide maximum flexibly, the transfer feature allows you enter a different description and date, catering for differences in clearing.

Balance Guide App

The app has several table view based screens, a pie chart and a graph. An in app setting screen was thought best rather than have it within the iPhones general settings app.

The development of the app provided new skills as new classes in the framework were employed.

In conclusion the development of version one went smoothly due to good database design.

App walk-through
When you first run the app your asked if you’d like to see the tutorial.  Here, you will be shown the main functionality and how to get started quickly.

Balance Guide - Calculate Balance Screen

Normally, the first screen you see in the app, is called ‘Calculate Balance’. Here you can see your financial status. Also once you’ve been using the app for a while you can add a balance correction. You’ll notice the (i)nfo button on most screens, here you can access help and support options.

Here on the ‘Bills & Deposits’ screen you add your main recurring transactions. There are several options you can set for each transaction.

Balance Guide - Forecast Screen

One of the most useful screens in the app, is the ‘Forecast’ screen, where you can change the filter to show past and future transactions.  Although its not shown in this screen shot, transactions are grouped via the day.

The app provides a graphical representation of your financial status. In the the screen shot to the right, you can see category spending for a month.

Finally, you can see your account transactions in a graph, you can filter the results by tapping on the clock icon.

In the future its hoped that feedback from this initial release will lead to new features and popularity.
